I myself really love : "Frites Alors", a Belgian fries and fast-food chain, McDonald's and Burger King. What about you?

I find very few places that make fries as good as they used to be. My favorites are the ones I make at home. McDonalds would come second. A lot of them, I won't even order anymore. If they have them, I will sub with onion rings or fried okra.

McDonalds, Burger King and seasoned fries I get from the supermarket. In fact, I just picked up a few bags today. I will eat the fries with salt only at home and McDonalds and Burger King. If I eat at a restaurant and order fries, I will get them with brown gravy all over them. So good. I did tried getting gravy in a can/glass jar to put over the fries at home. but was not the same taste as in the restaurants that I have been to in my life.

Rich, you should try the packaged dry brown gravy mix. All the ones I am familiar with cost about a dollar a package and make one cup. They come in a lot of flavors. I like the onion gravy mix. You only add water and let it come to a boil. Voila!! brown gravy!!
And if you like biscuits and gravy, there is a brand of gravy that is better (in my opinion) than all the others. It is called Pioneer Biscuit Gravy. Again, you only add water and let it come to a boil. This makes 2 cups. All pioneer gravy is good. Ladel it over a hot buttered biscuit, add a couple slices of crispy bacon, and you're in for a real taste treat.

Thanks Foxy, I did get those gravy's before, but did not think about my fries. At the time, I got them for the frozen meatballs I get sometimes. I think I was trying to create a sauce for Swedish meatballs and noodles.

I think the packaged gravies are pretty good.
