Use this this code when posting pics. Pastes directly to the board. No need to use the insert image icon.

At the risk of sounding stupid...how do I register? There's a place to sign in, but there doesn't appear to be a way to register, "free forum" doesn't appear to be it so I'm a little lost on how to register initially

What I just learned is that you have to be a member of "Forumation" message boards in order to use that site. I'm a member of Forumation because I checked it out when I was looking for a new home for the Castle. Sorry, I didn't know there was a connection between the two. Try this one, Musical: imgbb.com/ I think you will have better luck here. You will use the same code here to post pictures.

Which one did you try, Susan, and when?

I think the imgbb.com site should work OK for what I need but need to verify something. When I went to try and post a pic uploaded on imgbb.com it wouldn't load properly, ibb.co/QCLbt17 is the link...what did I do wrong?

On the photo hosting site: Right click on selected image > then left click "Copy image address."
On reply page, click image insert icon (seventh from right end). Then click CTRL+V to paste image into reply.
Then hit create post.

I don't have "copy image address", (I use Internet Explorer) I can find a workaround for that...but if I do the workaround it shows the small X, it looks like there's something missing.
Can you see the BB code and see why it shows up like this?

That works, thank you! I use Windows 7, I'm aware IE is on it's way out for the most part, but it's the browser I've used for 20 years...a little hard to say goodbye, yanno?

That is very good, Musical. I just wanted you to have those facts. I left IE kicking and screaming. But it had reached a point where it was freezing up on me constantly and I didn't like Edge that came With Windows 10. That is when I switched to Chrome. LOL!! I had to get back into IE tonight to try to solve your problem. My laptop is still Windows 7, but I loved Windows 7 and found it a very easy transition from 7 to 10. Someday soon, I need to go to Windows 10 on my laptop. As long as you can post your pics, all is well. Have a magical evening.

Not sure if you checked the other spot so I'll ask here too... I tried to post a GIF that has several women taking on the old "is the glass half full or half empty" and after the first 3 they get incredibly silly. It helps if you know what universe they are from but it's still funny even if you have no clue. Thing is, it stays on the first woman so you can't see the rest of them. Is this something that I need to use a different method than "image" because it changes or is there something special I need to do?

No. there isn't anything special about posting a certain type of image. Just post as usual.

Can you post the URL for this so I can get a look at and maybe figure something out for it? Without the image or the URL, I have no way of working it out. It almost sounds as if it is a .gif format that is somehow being transferred to .jpg or some other format. Only the .gif format supports animation. I found the URL for this .gif image and it posts like any other image.

OK....your original only has one frame, so there is nothing there to change to. Somehow, when you saved it it lost all of it's other frames. You can see this from the file size of the image. Yours, with just one frame is 28.97 KB. Mine with many frames is 438.48KB.
You can try saving mine to your photo hosting site and try again. I posted mine directly from it's website but when I saved it to my computer, I can't open it in my art program. It crashes my program every time. I suspect this file is corrupted in some manner.

That's weird, because on my computer it shows all the silliness, wonder why it just saved the first frame? Can I delete an image from ImgBB? I can see how to delete an album, but I don't know how to delete an image. (Want to delete the incomplete file)

When you hover over your image on the right side, you will see 5 icons listed there with commands. The bottom one is delete. Just click it.

Since you are trying to learn more about deaing with pictures, I thought you might like a few more so I made a few. There is some on your special delivery board that I bumped up to the top again. Here's 3 I thought you might like.

It is not at all complicated. This site is very user friendly. Just takes a few minutes to set up and get used to. You will love it when you learn to use it.

Since I'm using Google Chrome more (getting "upgrade your browser" for some stuff if I still use the website with IE) what do I need to do to post pics on here from imgbb.com? I imagine it's different than IE for posting a picture from imgbb.com so need to know what to do! Do I dance the forbidden dance of leaves and fruit? Do I need to post a picture proving that, despite rampant rumors, Mt St Helens did in fact blow it's cork in 1980? (Joking aside, what do I need to do?)
