I'll bet her heart was filled with happiness after reading the poem. That is such a wonderful memory Goldenmyst.

Mister Nostalgic, she seemed to take great pleasure in reading the poem. Foxy, yes we made the transition many can't from being lovers to being beloved friends. Yet, our love ran deeper than just friends even until the very end. John

I'm glad you enjoyed such a beautiful and special relationship. I am quite sure it was much more than just friendship and I am happy that you had that.

We had a relationship of love and affection which transcended mere friendship. I am sure I will join her in our next lifetime and our adventures together will continue. Goodnight milady. Sweet dreams until morning light return. XoXo John

Another memory of Marsha. We were driving through the Navajo reservation on our way to the Grand Canyon. We stopped in Tuba City and I asked where there might be a motel. The guy told me and we checked in. We were expecting a cheap motel. But when we stepped in the room it was a five-star motel. The room was bigger than two of our living rooms from back home. The bed had huge stained logs surrounding it. The place looked like it was fit for a millionaire. So Marsha had a huge smile of amusement as she looked around at the place. She looked gleeful by the surprise. Neither of us had ever stayed in such a fancy motel.

That was a wonderful moment my friend. I am most happy to share my memories of her here. I will keep these stored to look at and remember in the future. Your tag is a great way to look at time and memories. The clock and angel's wings are a great way to represent the passage of years.

Marsha was born and raised in New York City. So I took her back there to see her mother whom she hadn't seen in 21 years. While there we did a show for the residents in her Mom's nursing home. Marsha had a degree in modern dance and she did a dance which I helped her choreograph. That was a great night in Spanish Harlem. But a special memory I have of her and Manhattan is in the elevator in the Vanderbilt YMCA. A young man who worked for the Y looked closely at us together and asked us if we were sister and brother. We smiled and said no. He responded that we looked just like a sister and brother. After that we took Marsha's mother back to Louisiana with us. So Marsha got to have another decade with her Mom.

It was so wonderful that Marsha got to be with her Mom during her Mom's last decade. And her children also got to know their grandmother during those years. We didn't expect to bring Marsha's Mom back from New York on that trip. So it was a wonderful surprise.

That is very, very special, John, that you brought her MOM back home with you. That might be the greatest gift you ever gave her to let her children know their grandmother. I know for sure children need their grandmother and we all need our MOM. I'm glad you all had that.
It would be an honor to have your special memories of Marsha posted in the Castle.

Foxy, I would be most pleased to have these memories collected into a thread here at the castle. Having shared them here and being comforted by friends made my loss easier to bear. Thank you for yours and everyone's reading and replies. Words cannot express how much I appreciate the warmth and understanding of everyone here.

Thank you, John. The Castle is special because of it's special members, Have I ever told you that "Castle Dwellers Rock?" And now you are one. Having those memories stored online at the time they pop into your memory is a great idea to preserve them.
