Light in the night pierces my dreams,
Lady so bright eradicates screams,
She mulls as she pulls back the black curtain,
No doubting her actions this lady is certain,
She looks then she crooks one little finger,
With her I must go there is no time to linger,
I feel she's real not merely some wraith,
Though I know her not somehow I have faith,
She calls down the halls for her all to follow,
She ushers us all down to the hollow,
The grace in her face leaves us without fear,
Though each one of us senses danger is near,
What is queer as we peer into the mist,
How it gathers into one giant fist,
Should we yield the field is the question at hand,
She motions that here is where we'll make our stand,
We shiver and quiver but we hold our ground,
When unto my ear comes insistent sound,
I stutter a flutter as I slowly wake,
Adventurous dream I now must forsake,
Make my way through the day with hope that I might,
Return to my dream to fight the good fight.
