My subscription expired on April 24 and my service from PB still continues just as before. Makes me wonder if they have repented.  |

I switched from PB to Fotki several months ago and LOVE IT. I wouldn't go back to PB if someone paid me. They were awful.

Fotki imported all of my PB images to their site for me so all my thousands of images are there. I prefer Image shack for a lot of reasons, so I keep both. As long as PB works for me, I will never close that account. So far, they still work. |

They still keep adjusting the prices and getting more realistic about third party hosting. You know, without third party hosting, the customer has nothing. They are about to get back in line with other services but I'm afraid they waited too long and were far too bold when they first started this thing and ruined so many businesses. Who could ever again trust them?? So sad!! They were the giants in the photo hosting business. proving once more that giants too can be slain.

I went to Fotki too and am happy with it. For some reason, I have trouble trying to join Image Shack.

It is sad PB had to be so greedy. If they had raised prices in small increments, their customers would have warned them before they went too far. That brave and mighty move they made proved to be their undoing. It will be years before they can undo the damage, if ever. They got too big and thought they held all the cards. The people always hold the winning hand.

That is so right, Cat. As long as there is competition, they can never hold us hostage. Competition keeps them honest. There is always going to be one who will lower prices to get the business. I love competition. |
