You'll never quite get your head around the weirdos from the South in their dirndls and lederhosen, but you're always open to meet new people and cultures. How about a weekend in the beautiful Bavarian Alps? Hiking through the mountains, swimming in the lakes and visiting tiny, picturesque villages with 50 inhabitants. How do we put this nicely.. You should simply stay away from Bavaria! Unless you want to be hunted down across the fields with pitchforks. The Bavarians can be a little peculiar and very skeptical towards outsiders. Being a friendly American or polite Brit won't necessarily save you from their prejudice, if you're not Bavarian you're a so-called “Preißn”! Not to worry though – Germany has many other beautiful places where you don't need to know the culture to get by! Want to know how long your friends would survive in Bavaria?
