Marsha
Memories pass through my mind
Like clouds passing through the sky
As I pass through the rooms
Where once laughter echoed from the walls
For a moment I see her image
She smiles at me
From a place beyond death
As she sits contentedly
Rises from the couch
Her body floats across the floor
Pirouettes across the carpet
Legs stretch out
Point toward ceiling
Hands move gracefully
Speaking through motion
Her body a spinning blur
Like a leaf falling from tree
Swirls through the air
On its passage
From tree to ground
The final resting place
One last time she smiles
Her body motionless
Shimmering with her love light
I feel the warmth of her love
Like a fire in the cold night
Bringing me back
To the heaven of her embrace
The ecstasy of her touch
The depths of her kindness
Unfathomable
Her caring beyond comprehension
For one as forlorn as me
She took me into the home of her soul
Gave me back the life I had lost
Led me across the valley of loneliness
Into an intimacy I never could have imagined
She took me in her hands
And gave me back my life
Her sweet breathe filling me with vigor
Her soft voice calls me back to life
With a kiss she awakened me
From my frigid slumber
Now, I look at her love filled eyes
Gazing at me with burning passion
Pleading with me not to give up
Telling me she will always be there
In the wind, the rain, the sun’s warmth
She leads me to green pastures
Shows me mercy
Even as her image vanishes
Leaving me in an empty room
Still feeling her love
Fill the place in my heart
Where she will always remain
Till the stars fade in the heavens
And beyond
Memories pass through my mind
Like clouds passing through the sky
As I pass through the rooms
Where once laughter echoed from the walls
For a moment I see her image
She smiles at me
