Oh fading summer, linger please For with you goes my heart, Oh coming autumn, stay your hand, Ere my love 'n' I must part,
These passing days, all too quick, How soon the setting sun, Child of summer, please delay, 'Cause she's my only one,
Leaves are falling, trees are bare, The time is nigh I fear, Three seasons shall, I wait again, Until once more we're near,
A whistle blows, now she's gone, The light just leaves my face, In shadows shall I stand alone, Beside me hold, an empty place,
Moons will rise, as suns will set, Blind to them shall I be, Until the warm, equinox, Brings her back to me.

Brian this is a song of lost love which has every bit the feel of Tennyson or Robert Frost to me. You really are a romantic poet of the highest order my friend. This is an epic poem.

Your pining for she who you loved but lost is written with a rhythm and meter which made for heady reading. The passion here is nothing less than a poetic miracle. Truly a wonder to behold.
